1. The Nature of This Reference

It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a government office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use these pages only for lawful, responsible purposes. You may not use the service or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency Status

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither these pages nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing returned through them may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Outside Links

Government portals and outside services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Stamford Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, prices, or data practices.

5. No Warranty

The pages are supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that information is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return a correct result.

8. Copyright and Site Materials

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page and quote a short attributed excerpt. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the content is not permitted.

9. Revisions

We may revise these terms by posting an updated version on this page. Use after the revision takes effect means you accept the change.

10. Access Restrictions

We may block or limit access for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, with or without advance notice and at our discretion.

11. Connecticut Law

Connecticut law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. References to public records on the pages concern the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, C.G.S. §§1-200 through 1-242, including inspection, disclosure, copy, denial, and appeal provisions. Connecticut's Data Privacy Act, Public Act 22-15, is codified at C.G.S. §§42-515 through 42-526 and applies to qualifying covered businesses, not every public custodian.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
